The housing is simple to maintain and keeps a good seal. I've had the camera drag through the sand in Monterey without many mishaps. Canon sells weights to get the housing closer to neutral bouyancy that I recommend.

The one annoying thing about the housing is that the diffuser just clips on the lens extension. I find the diffuser comes off at the worst times. My previous housing, WP-DC30, had an actual extension from the housing that the diffuser slid into. If this housing had a similiar method for holding the diffuser, I would give it five stars.
